These are the smiles of two people who have forever been set free by Jesus.
Charles battled an alcohol addiction for over a decade before the Holy Spirit stepped in, giving him total surrender and sobriety. Maggie struggled with a life-threatening eating disorder, as well as anxiety and depression. God saved her physically, mentally, and spiritually. He transformed their marriage, their family, their purpose. Today, they desire to glorify God and share this Good News with others.
Our Story
During their time in Colorado, Charles worked full-time as a procurement manager at Amazon while also completing a church-planting residency with Front Range Church in Castle Rock. Maggie pressed pause on her career in journalism and communications to raise their three beautiful children. Together, they helped start the now-thriving Celebrate Recovery ministry at Front Range.
Charles is currently on-staff with Crosspointe Christian Church in Grosse Pointe Woods, Michigan, and pursuing his Master of Divinity through Liberty University. He is excited to step into the lead pastor role with Redemption.
Grosse Pointe is a beautiful community, yet there are lost and hurting people. We see people who tell themselves everything is okay because they appear to have it all from a worldly perspective. But because they don’t have Jesus, they don’t have real hope. Below the surface, we see people trying to mask and numb their issues with wealth, careers, and substances.
Charles is a Grosse Pointe native and knows exactly what that’s like. Growing up, his family lived the American dream, but on the inside, he kept a lot of pain hidden. Maggie comes from a similar background, and we feel burdened to step into this community and be used by Jesus to shine His light.
We believe that God will change countless lives, impacting generation upon generation for years to come.
